Privacy Policy

The short version

PawListed is a static website with no accounts, logins, or sign-ups. We don’t ask for your name, email, or payment details, and we don’t sell data. We use Google Analytics to see which guides help people, and some of our links are Amazon affiliate links. That’s the whole story — the rest of this page is the detail.

Who this policy covers

This policy explains how PawListed (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information when you visit pawlisted.com. It applies to this website only — not to Amazon, Google, or any other site we link out to.

What we don’t collect

PawListed has no user accounts, logins, comment sections, contact forms, or newsletter sign-ups. We never ask you to enter your name, email address, phone number, or payment information, and we keep no database of visitors. There is simply no personal profile of you on our side.

What’s collected automatically

Two ordinary things happen on most websites, and they happen here too:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides get read, how people arrive, and roughly where in the world our visitors are. This is aggregate, pseudonymous usage data — page views, referring links, approximate location (from IP address), device and browser type, and time on page — collected using cookies and similar technology. Analytics only runs when we have it configured; when it’s off, no analytics data is collected.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (IP address, user agent, and timestamp) for a short time to keep the site secure and running. We don’t use these to identify or track individuals.

If you use the search box, your search term may appear in the page address and be recorded by Google Analytics as part of that ordinary page-view data.

Cookies

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, as described above.
  • Amazon cookies. When you click an affiliate link and go to Amazon, Amazon sets its own cookies so it can credit us if you buy something. Those cookies are set by Amazon, on Amazon’s domain, and are governed by Amazon’s privacy notice — not ours.

We don’t set our own advertising or tracking cookies beyond analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time — see Your choices below.

Affiliate links and how we make money

PawListed is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Some links on this site — including every “Check price on Amazon” button — are affiliate links, and as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This costs you nothing extra, and it never decides which products we cover or how we rank them. Every affiliate link carries a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute. How the information is used

The limited data described above is used only to:

  • understand which content is useful, and improve it;
  • keep the site secure and working; and
  • measure, in aggregate, whether our guides reach the people looking for them.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We don’t build advertising profiles, and we don’t share data with anyone except the analytics and affiliate providers named here, acting on our behalf or under their own policies.

Children’s privacy

PawListed is a general-audience site about pet care and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll address it.

Your choices and rights

  • Opt out of analytics. Use your browser’s cookie controls, enable “Do Not Track,” or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • EEA / UK (GDPR). You have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data and to object to its processing. Because we don’t hold identifiable personal data ourselves, analytics-related requests are handled through Google; we’ll help point you in the right direction.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Data retention and security

We don’t operate a visitor database, so there’s no personal profile to retain on our side. Analytics data is kept by Google according to our Analytics retention settings (commonly a few months to a couple of years). The site is served over HTTPS under a strict content security policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data — for example, if we add a newsletter or a contact form — we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before the new feature goes live.
