Each roundup starts from a problem an owner is actually trying to solve, then compares six or so widely available options on the specifications that change the outcome — blade design and safety stops on nail clippers, clumping strength and dust on litter. We name a best overall, a budget pick, and the cases where something else fits better.

These are spec-based comparisons, not hands-on tests, and no manufacturer can pay to be included or ranked higher. Every roundup says so in its own words, and our evaluation standards explain the process in full.
